Monaco

The TAG Heuer Monaco is an automatic chronograph wristwatch originally introduced by Heuer in 1969 to commemorate the Monaco Grand Prix. Originally badged as Heuer Monaco, it was notable for being the first automatic chronograph, as well as the first with a square case. The Monaco has become synonymous with Hollywood film star Steve McQueen, who wore one in the 1971 film Le Mans. Discontinued in the mid-1970s, a redesigned version of the Monaco appeared in 1998, now badged TAG Heuer, and a number of different variations have appeared in subsequent years.
